The Sheldon was designed by the noted 1904 World's Fair Architect Louis Spiering. Experience the elegance of a bygone era. Enjoy historic grandeur combined with contemporary event planning and personalized execution. The Sheldon has reigned among the city's finest special event facilities since 1912. Overlooking the city's Central West End, The Sheldon Ballroom features hardwood flooring, a full stage and dramatic beamed ceilings with large skylights. This intimate setting accommodates 250 for dinner or more than 300 for cocktail receptions.

The Old Courthouse

The Old Courthouse was built in the early 1800s and served as both judicial and civil offices until 1930. In the middle of the Old Courthouse is a rotunda. It was restored from 1981 through 1986, and it is a beautiful place for a private event. The rotunda and second-level balcony is suitable for 100 guests for a sit-down dinner and 200 guests for a stand-up reception.

This is one of the largest and most beautiful art galleries in the country and is an ideal space for anyone desiring to host a unique and elegant event. Events are held in the evening after business hours, so that means that events cannot begin before 6pm. The gallery's floor plan provides you with numerous choices when planning a special event. Their three galleries can accommodate buffets, dancing, bands and up to 200 guests.

The Mahler Ballroom is located in the heart of the Central West End. This turn of the century landmark to St. Louis high society is available for weddings and parties. Restored to its initial elegance, this Victorian Ballroom with its ornate balcony easily accommodates a sit-down dinner for 250 guests. With the completion of the restoration, the Mahler Ballroom has been established as one of the city's crown jewels and an ideal setting for your special occasion.

Grandel Theatre

Built as a limestone Congregational Church in the Romanesque revival style in 1884, the Theatre was renovated in 1992. It is located in the Grand Center arts, entertainment, and education district of St. Louis. Its main spaces include a 470 seat (320 on the orchestra level; 150 in the balcony) theatre auditorium, the Grand Hall, and large lobby area. The 26-foot vaulted ceiling and 12-foot arched leaded glass window make the Grand Hall beautiful day or evening. It can accommodate approximately 150 for a seated meal or 225 for a reception. The lobby will hold up to 180 people for a reception and 80-100 for a sit down event.
World's Fair Pavilion

Sitting high atop Government Hill, the World's Fair Pavilion commands a dramatic view of Forest Park. This magnificent open air shelter has been one of the park's most popular and impressive attractions since it was built in 1909 with proceeds left over from the 1904 World's Fair. In 1998, Forest Park Forever renovated the Pavilion. The Pavilion provides a picturesque setting for company picnics, private reception, benefits, special events or parties. The covered floor area of the open air pavilion can easily seat approximately 500 people.
The Magic House

The Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum is a fun and innovative place that is sure to make your wedding reception a magical one. They can accomodate parties with their 25,000 square foot facility. The Special Events room will accomodate up to 180 people for a sit-down dinner, and around 600 guests can enjoy the Special Events room, exhibit areas, and beautiful Victorian Garden. The Magic House offers a creative, unique environment for family reunions, casual parties, elegant sit-down dinners, school family nights, bar/bat mitzvahs, and corporate functions.

Located on the historic St. Louis Riverfront stands the Gateway Arch an engineering marvel that towers 630 feet in the sky over downtown St. Louis and the Mighty Mississippi River. As a symbol of the Gateway to Westward Expansion the gateway Arch is part of our National Parks System. The Arch may be rented as an event venue with a special use permit. The area under the Arch has a museum, gift shop and a fountain in the middle. This unique venue holds approximately 850 people for a stand-up reception and 300 for a sit-down reception with a band, a dance floor and a bar. Tram rides to the top of the Arch are available at an additional charge
MAD ART Gallery

Located adjacent to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Downtown St. Louis, MAD ART Gallery Is a former St. Louis City Police Station and is now a gallery featuring local artists and a wonderful new and unique to host events. Using old cell blocks and holding cells as well as the large "garage" gallery area. MAD ART has become the new "hot venue" for all different types of events. MAD ART will accommodate groups of 150-180 for seated dinners and over 300 for cocktail parties.

The Cabanne House is situated in a wooded site near the Union Avenue entrance to Forest Park. With it's functional layout, beautiful decor and unique surroundings, this place allows you to create an environment suitable for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, association receptions, bar/bat mitzvahs and holiday parties. The house can hold up to 75 people for cocktail receptions and up to 44 people for seated events. The entire house and grounds area can hold up to 300 people for cocktail receptions and up to 200 people for seated events. It is available all year round.

Individuals or groups can rent the three-level facility for a surprisingly affordable price. The Bowling Museum also has a special meeting room, which provides an excellent setting for training sessions, business meeting and luncheon for up to 35 people.
